While it’s unfortunate that Wansink was found to produce misleading studies, we’re glad that more attention is being paid to the quality and accuracy of nutrition research. Unfortunately, the pressure to churn out research is often higher than the demand for accurate data/studies. We say this in all of our trainings; correlation is not causation. For example, just because “links” are found between high carbs and mortality in one study, it doesn’t mean that consuming high carbs actually increases mortality. There are a ton of other factors that have not been adequately considered. So, we’ll stick to our broken record message, and you stick to eating lots of veggies, fruits, whole grains, healthy fats, and good mix of proteins! https://nyti.ms/2OppIzW
