I am so pleased to share that our first fundraising event, held last Sunday, was a success.
The music, generously performed by Dave and Becky DesRoches (The Dave and Becky Duo), R. J. Toledo, Pamela Johnson (http://www.sfrockschool.com/, http://pamelaparkermusic.com) was incredible—and there was even room for some young and emerging performers!
The food was also a hit. Thanks to donations from La Boulange and BiRite Market, we had lots of tasty treats. The kids and adults enjoyed making the Leah’s Pantry recipes on their own—Hummus and Veggie Wraps, Yogurt Parfaits, Popcorn, and Pita Pizzas. The kids also enjoyed decorating pots and planting seeds.
It was a lot of fun for me to share our work with my friends and friends of our fantastic Board. I look forward to hosting this event every fall, but I will consider selling Leah’s Pantry fleeces next year if it’s cold again!
