FAKE TRAINING JENAY – Around the Table Facilitator Training (Includes Sample Curriculum Bundle)

Description:  This unique training will equip participants to facilitate the Around the Table curricula, which aims to increase the health and resilience of the communities you serve.  Participants will:

• Learn how to implement the Around the Table curricula
• Explore the relationship between positive and adverse experiences and nourishment
• Develop compassionate facilitation strategies
• Engage in personal and group reflection

Audience:  Educators working with older youth/young adults and/or adult caregivers. [If an agency has multiple participants, each participant must register separately so that their registration email address can then be added to our online training system.]

Training Delivery and Dates:  This program includes self-paced content (videos, reflection activities, and readings) and live, instructor-led sessions. Registered participants will gain access to our online training system (TalentLMS) beginning mid-October and will need to complete approximately one and a half hours of self-paced work prior to the first live session on 11/9.  Participants will have access to digital curriculum files and will also be sent an Around the Table Curriculum Bundle (includes a Youth workbook and instructor guide and a Nourishing Families workbook and instructor guide).  Key dates are as follows:

• Registration Closes: 2/7
• Self-Paced Course Opens:  mid-January
• Live Zoom Sessions: 2/8, 2/15, 2/22, 2/29; Times: 11 a.m.–12:30 p.m. PST

NOTE:  Although registration will remain open until 2/7, participants who register after 1/8 may not receive the hardcopy curriculum bundle until after the first session, in which case participants will have to rely on the digital curriculum for reference.

Total Training Time:  Approximately 12 hours total (six hours of live sessions and about six hours of self-paced work)

Next Steps:  Upon completion of this program, participants are certified to deliver the Around the Table Youth and Around the Table: Nourishing Families curriculum.
