One of our longest organizational relationships is with BRIDGE Housing, dating back to 2007. Since then, Leah’s Pantry has conducted cooking and nutrition workshops for individuals of all ages at various affordable housing sites under the BRIDGE Housing Project. In 2020, we adjusted our work with an increased focus on food security and physical activity. Currently, our outreach extends to more than 5,000 residents across 26 affordable housing complexes in more than ten counties throughout California.
The range of services provided to residents varies depending on need and includes activities such as nutrition classes, on-site food distributions, CalFresh sign-up and outreach, movement classes, resource fairs, and one-on-one service coordination. On average, Leah’s Pantry conducts 100 nutrition education classes and 150 food distributions annually for BRIDGE residents.

Sign up to volunteer as a Food Distributor. The Food Distribution Volunteer assists Leah’s Pantry staff as we provide food for BRIDGE Housing residents. Duties may include lifting and transporting boxes of food and distributing the contents.
