Trauma-Informed Care in Community and School Gardens

Description: Join us to learn how to apply a trauma-informed approach to nutrition security in community and school garden activities and programs. In this interactive training, you will explore strategies for teaching in garden settings and creating a space that promotes resilience. As part of this training, participants will have the opportunity to connect with a network of garden educators, staff, and volunteers.
Audience: Garden educators, garden staff and volunteers, garden partners and collaborators
Training Delivery:Â This training includes self-paced content (videos, reflection activities, and readings) and live facilitator-led Zoom sessions. The online course opens in early March. Ahead of the first live session, registered participants will need to complete approximately one hour of self-paced work.Â

Zoom Sessions: March 18 and April 1, 2026, 10:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. PDT
Total Training Time:Â Approximately six hours (four hours of live sessions and about two hours of self-paced work)
