Trauma-Informed Lactation Care

Training Description:  Lactation care is a deeply transformative experience, yet for many parents, it intersects with complex histories of adversity, trauma, and medical distrust. Designed specifically for lactation consultants, educators, and maternal health professionals, this interactive two-part series focuses on the whole person, acknowledging the positive and negative experiences that impact the initiation and maintenance of breastfeeding. Through evidence-based research, reflective exercises, and a strengths-based approach, this course equips providers with tools and skills to foster connection and support clients through this special time.
