Fostering Nourished Families
Overview
This strengths-based, evidence-based nutrition curriculum is designed for leading an interactive nutrition training for resource parents and caregivers. Participants learn how to apply basic nutrition concepts and holistic strategies to meet the unique needs of foster children and support the whole family’s resilience.
Participant Goals:
- Learn to nourish foster children with creativity and less stress
- Explore how trauma-informed feeding practices and good nutrition can support the family’s mental wellbeing, physical health, and interpersonal dynamics
- Learn ideas for nutritious and delicious family-friendly meals and snacks
- Build skills for self-care and self-nourishment
